Overview
What exactly does Goodwill do?
Most people know us for our donation centers and thrift stores, but we’re so much more. We like to say we are
“Green for Good”. Thanks to your green donations, Goodwill diverts millions of pounds of clothing and goods from landfills annually. Then when you shop our stores you are reusing goods, saving green, and helping the planet. Most significant of all, Goodwill reinvests all profits right back into the community offering individuals with barriers to employment work opportunities, independence, and quality of life. In other words, your donations and purchases help us reuse, resell, recycle, and reinvest. It’s the Goodwill Green for Good circle.
The territory we serve
We’re headquartered in Sioux City, Iowa, but Goodwill Industries Wall Street Mission makes up the largest territory of any Goodwill
in the U.S. We serve over 700 miles from Mason City, Iowa to the east – Rapid City, South Dakota to the West and Norfolk, Nebraska
to the South. We even cover parts of Southwestern Minnesota. We currently operate 19 retail stores and donation centers, online
retail, and last year we served over 13,000 people through a variety of services, programs, and special events such as Camp Goodwill.
